From the Director
Dear Families, Staff, Students, and Community Partners,
It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Executive Director/Superintendent of Northern Summit Academy. I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve alongside our dedicated educators, engaged families, and talented students.
Throughout my 21 year career in education, I have been driven by a simple belief: every student deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where they can learn, grow, and achieve their fullest potential. I began my journey at NSA part-time in 2015 going full-time in 2020. I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of educational roles, including five years as the Director of Special Programs at NSA. Each position has strengthened my commitment to student success, educational excellence, and meaningful partnerships with families and the community.
As I begin this journey, I look forward to continuing to get to know our students, staff, families, and community members while deepening my understanding of the traditions, strengths, and aspirations that make our school unique. I have been a part of the Shasta/Tehama Community for over 45 years. My family and I believe in the power of education to transform lives, strengthen communities and create opportunities for every student.
Together, we will build on our successes while thoughtfully addressing opportunities for growth. I hope to see more and more families and community partners attending our monthly Advisory Council meetings. It is through these collaborative meetings that we continue to grow, partner, and honor the vision upon which our charter was founded.
I believe that strong schools are built on trust, collaboration, transparency, and a shared commitment to doing what is best for students. My leadership style is rooted in open communication, mutual respect, and teamwork. I value diverse perspectives and believe that our greatest accomplishments come when we work together toward common goals.
I am excited about the future and the opportunities ahead. Together, we will continue to foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, inclusion, and care, ensuring that every student is prepared for success in school and beyond.
With appreciation,
Mrs. Clarissa Loffmark, Executive Director/Superintendent
